The airfield movements for 1988 have been published here…. Despite the main runway undergoing repair for the majority of the second half of the year, causing the resident Phantom squadrons to bolt-hole to RAF Honington, there was still a good selection of visiting aircraft to this busy base.
1976 was a very hot and dry summer, here are few photos from a brown and dry Wattisham taken on 15th July and kindly sent to us by the photographer himself, Hendrik van Broekhuizen. Thanks go to Hendrik for sharing these images.
Wattisham hosted the rotary wing elements of the 2023 Trooping the Colour flypast over Buckingham Palace. A report on the event is published here…..
